Technostalgia

Continuing the technique I used in the "Microcosms of Mourning" series, this series is a collection of still-life "portraits" of the functional wires I use every day. After working on the "Microcosms" series, I began to seek subjects that were in a state of near constant physical transformation that resonated with the poetic and lyrical qualities of the twisted strands. Laptop charging wires, random wires which connect electrical outlets to long-forgotten destinations, and my beloved iPhone earbuds, all are recorded in ephemeral sculptural expressions.
